Our Story
After my second daughter was born, I was in the trenches. It seemed impossible to both take care of my newborn and entertain my older daughter, all while cleaning, cooking, and trying to heal from labor.
And although my husband was a great help I was mostly alone during the day. And so I found myself increasingly reliant on screens to keep the peace.
One day I decided enough was enough. I started looking for an educational screen-free activity that would keep my older daughter engaged and entertained for longer.
Then I discovered the world of felt play.
There were various DIY guides online, but most of them required sewing skills and a lot of time to prepare. So I started to look for ready-to-play felt sets.
The problem was that most felt sets were either sold exclusively in the US or had questionable origins and manufacturing processes.
That’s when I decided to create the felt play sets myself. A few of my mom friends saw my daughter playing with her sets and wanted to buy some themselves. This inspired me und my husband to create Toni&Lou, where each toy is made with much love, care, and attention to detail.
